Geisel Privathotels is a family enterprise from Munich, now in the fourth generation of passionate and dedicated management. We are independent and well networked all around the globe. Harald Bruischütz - Revenue Manager
With dedication, know-how and hard work to a management position: After completing his hotel management traineeship, Harald Bruischütz initially gathered experience as a reservations clerk, to then take over the department. Now, as Revenue Manager, he takes care of the entire pricing policy of all Geisel hotels.
Thomas Rethage - Manager of anna restaurant
"Back to the future" seems to be his motto: After completing his training as restaurant manager, Thomas Rethage became Chef de Rang in Geisel's Vinothek, where he was soon promoted to Deputy Restaurant Manager. After that he took off for Canada, where he worked as Deputy F&B Manager for a heli-skiing company. He has been back since 2011 as Manager of anna restaurant.
Tohru Nakamura - Chef de cuisine at Geisels Werneckhof
Born and bred in Munich with German-Japanese roots, Tohru began his apprenticeship as chef in the Hotel Königshof under the leadership of Martin Fauster, and already began winning coveted awards as a young cook, such as the "German youth champion". He then went abroad, for example to the Netherlands, worked as a sous chef in various top restaurants in Japan, to then return to Geisel. He has been Chef de Cuisine in Geisel's Werneckhof since April 2013, where he soon earned himself a Michelin star and 17 Gault Millau points.

Among our cooperation partners are: the Staudacherhof and the Kranzbach in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Schloss Elmau, the Sonnenalp Resort and the Dein Engel hotel in the Allgäu, the Bachmair-Weissach hotel at the Tegernsee and the Cortina Hotel and Hotel Louis in Munich.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
We promote sustainable development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Being a family-managed private company, we put the focus on people in our everyday work and decisions. We take responsibility for our staff and the society and world we live in. This conviction is an essential part of our corporate philosophy, and all our employees live by it. While the international hotel sector is heavily dominated by the standardisation trend right now, we place great value on our individuality. We encourage all our staff to make sustainable decisions. We believe that this approach, appealing to the individuals in our company, is more important and effective than a centralised company sustainability policy. In this way, we are always open for new opportunities: Together with the kate and TourCert, we participate in the CSR certification project for the hotel industry. We are happy to be one of the first hotels to be awarded the TourCert seal of approval. This certification is a reward for our efforts to date and encourages us to keep examining our daily activities with regard to sustainability and continuously keep getting better.
